Three days after his final MLB game, a 9-5 win at Fenway Park in which he had an RBI single, Derek Jeter announced the launch of The Players' Tribune website.

Designed for athletes to express themselves without the filter of traditional media, The Players' Tribune attracted stars, including Russell Wilson and Blake Griffin, to be part of the launch last October.

During its first year, the site featured contributions from David Ortiz, Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce, Tiger Woods and dozens more.

In the video above, Jeter, whose title is founding publisher, talks about how his site is geared toward starting conversations and what else he has in mind for it.
