The Falcons score fast. The Patriots knew that going in. New England plays a much more meticulous game ,and it showed in the stats. The Patriots ran 93 offensive plays, a new Super Bowl record. The Patriots would've set the record even without overtime as they had 85 plays in regulation, and the previous record was 84, set by the Steelers (84) in a losing effort against Dallas in Super Bowl XXX. In fact, 93 offensive plays is the second most ever in a postseason game. The Browns ran 96 plays in a 23-20 overtime win against the Jets in a divisional playoff game on Jan. 3, 1987.

25-Point Comeback

When the Falcons went up 14-0 in the second quarter, Fox aired a graphic showing that no team had ever come back to win a Super Bowl after being down by more than 10 points. The Redskins (XXII), Saints (XLIV) and Patriots (XLIX) won after trailing by 10. In Super Bowl LI, the Patriots were down by 25 when Atlanta went ahead 28-3 with 8:31 left in the third quarter. New England finished the game with 31 unanswered points, including 19 in the fourth quarter. The 25-point comeback is the third greatest in NFL playoff history. The Bills came back from 32 down against the Houston Oilers in 1993 and the Colts from 28 down in 2014 against Kansas City.

14 Receptions By James White

James White had two rushing touchdowns, including the game-winning score, but he only carried the ball six times for 29 yards. But he had 14 receptions for 110 yards and one touchdown. Demaryius Thomas had a short-lived, three-year run as the leader in this category, with 13 receptions in Super Bowl XLVIII. Four other Brady receivers are in the top ten: Deion Branch had 11 catches in Super Bowl XXXIX, Wes Welker had 11 in Super Bowl XLII, Shane Vereen had 11 in Super Bowl XLIX and Branch had 10 in Super Bowl XXXVIII. Branch was MVP in Super Bowl XXXIX.

466 Passing Yards By Tom Brady

It certainly didn't feel like a record-breaking passing performance. Brady never threw a pass for more than 28 yards. But in prime Brady form, the medium range passes added up. Brady's 466 passing yards edged the previous record of 414 passing yards set by Kurt Warner in Super Bowl XXXIV. (Crazy side stat: Going into the night, Warner had the three highest passing totals in Super Bowl history.)

43 Passes Completed By Tom Brady

Brady beat his own record here. His 37 completions in Super Bowl XLIX were the previous high. Brady also had 32 completed passes in Super Bowl XXXVIII, now tied for fourth all time. Brady's 62 attempts are also a new record. Jim Kelly's 58 for Buffalo against Washington in Super Bowl XXVI was the previous record.

4 Super Bowl MVP Awards For Tom Brady

Brady entered the night tied with Joe Montana at three Super Bowl MVP awards. His 466-yard, two-touchdown performance got him No. 4. The crazy part is Brady could have a few more if it wasn't for those meddling kids, Deion Branch and Eli Manning. Brady's five Super Bowl rings are now tied with Charles Haley for the most by a player.

5 Super Bowls Titles As A Head Coach For Bill Belichick

Belichick set a record two weeks when he clinched a spot on the sideline for his seventh Super Bowl as a head coach. On Sunday, he became the first head coach to win five Super Bowls, passing Chuck Noll. No other active coach has multiple Super Bowl titles (recently retired Tom Coughlin has two though). Belichick also won two Super Bowls Giants defensive coordinator.
